MOTIVATIONAL GUIDANCE FOR STATE CIVIL APPARATUS (ASN)  AT IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM BY THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF HINDU RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS, MINISTRY OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA  

Mataram, April 19, 2025 The Director General of Hindu Religious Affairs conducted a motivational and performance development session for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. The event, held on the third floor of the Rectorate Building at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, was moderated by Vice Rector, Dr. Drs. I Wayan Sumertha, M.Ag., and officially opened by Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. In his opening remarks, the Rector expressed his gratitude to the Director General for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit the campus and provide encouragement to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. He emphasized the importance of such guidance in strengthening professionalism and dedication within the institution. The Director General delivered a speech on the theme "Integration of Spiritual Values and Professionalism of Hindu State Civil Apparatus (ASN)." He encouraged university professors to serve as role models for others, likening them to figures such as Drona and Bhisma in the Mahabharata. He also stressed the importance of technological literacy for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the era of bureaucratic transformation. Additionally, he motivated all State Civil Apparatus (ASN), especially lecturers, to pursue promotions and strive for the title of professor. On that occasion, he also conveyed a message from the Minister of Religious Affairs, emphasizing the need to simplify administrative processes on campus and avoid financial-based practices such as the sale of grades. He expressed appreciation for the contributions of all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and called for collective efforts to strengthen and advance human resources within the Hindu community. The Director General also emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong ethical foundation in academic and administrative work. He urged lecturers and staff members to uphold integrity and transparency in all processes, reinforcing that professionalism should be guided by moral principles and a commitment to serving the community. Leadership within academic institutions, he noted, should not only focus on intellectual excellence but also on fostering a culture of honesty and accountability. Furthermore, the speech highlighted the crucial role of Hindu State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in shaping the future of education and governance. The Director General called on the academic community to actively engage in research and knowledge dissemination, ensuring that Hindu philosophical teachings remain relevant in contemporary discourse. By integrating traditional wisdom with modern educational frameworks, he envisioned a more dynamic and resilient academic environment that continues to inspire both students and faculty members. As the session drew to a close, participants expressed appreciation for the motivational guidance, noting that such interactions serve as valuable reminders of their mission and purpose. GRADUATION CEREMONY AT THE FACULTY OF DHARMA ACARYA, IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM: 10 STUDENTS OFFICIALLY EARN BACHELOR'S DEGREES

Mataram, April 17, 2025 The Faculty of Dharma Acarya at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram held its graduation (yudisium) ceremony for undergraduate students on Thursday, April 17. A total of 10 students from three study programs Hindu Religious Education, Early Childhood Education Teacher Training (PG-PAUD), and Hindu Religious Arts and Culture were officially declared graduates and awarded the academic title of Bachelor according to their respective fields. The solemn ceremony took place on the university campus and was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Dharma Acarya, along with the faculty leadership. In his address, the Dean expressed pride in the achievements of the graduates and conveyed his hope that the knowledge they had gained throughout their studies would be put to good use in advancing the Hindu community, the nation, and the country especially in the fields of education and cultural preservation. "Our graduates today are agents of change. We expect you to uphold integrity, continue learning, and stay committed to serving the community," he said. This graduation marks an important milestone and the beginning of a new journey for the graduates as they step into the professional world and community service. Several graduates shared heartfelt reflections on their academic journey, highlighting both the challenges and growth they experienced during their time at the university. They expressed deep gratitude to their lecturers, families, and peers who supported them throughout the process, making the achievement even more meaningful. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session and informal gathering, allowing graduates and faculty members to celebrate the moment together. As these new graduates move forward, the Faculty of Dharma Acarya remains committed to fostering future educators and cultural practitioners rooted in Hindu values and dedicated to the service of society. GDE PUDJA CREATIVITY FAIR: A PLATFORM FOR INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY

Mataram The Gde Pudja Creativity Fair, a new initiative organized by the Student Activity Unit for Research Reasoning at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, marks its debut this year. Scheduled for April 1213, 2025, the event celebrates the 7th anniversary of the organization and is set to become an annual platform for creativity and innovation among students and the general public. This years fair features three competition categories: the National Essay Competition, the Infographic Design Competition, and the Storytelling Competition. These contests aim to provide participants with a platform to express innovation, develop intellectual ideas, and implement their knowledge effectively. The National Essay Competition is open to university students across Indonesia, encouraging critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and argumentative writing. Meanwhile, the Infographic Design Competition invites high school students in Mataram to create visually compelling and informative posters, fostering their creativity and design skills. The Storytelling Competition challenges high school students to deliver captivating narratives in English, enhancing their public speaking and confidence. At the peak of the event, a seminar will be held to broaden participants' knowledge, deepen their understanding, and equip them with relevant insights to maximize their personal and academic development. A total of 42 participants have joined the competitions: 39 essay participants from 15 university teams, six storytelling contestants, and three infographic designers. The essay competition welcomes teams from universities including Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya, Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Widya Gama Lumajang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, STIA LAN Makassar, Politeknik Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Mataram, Universitas Merdeka Malang, and Universitas Negeri Surabaya. IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM CONDUCTS STUDENT ADMISSION SOCIALIZATION ACROSS SULAWESI

Mataram, Indonesia March 19-23, 2025 The Institut Agama Hindu Negeri (IAHN) Gde Pudja Mataram conducted a Student Admission Socialization (PMB) in several regions of Sulawesi Island, reaching East Luwu Regency, North Luwu Regency, and Makassar City, South Sulawesi. The socialization team was led by I Ketut Putu Suardana, M.I.Kom., Coordinator of the PMB Socialization Team, alongside Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Murba Widana, M.Ag., Chairman of the Senate, and Nengah Sukendri, S.E., M.Pd.H., Chairman of SPI IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Apart from providing information about student admissions, the team engaged in dharma tula, directly interacting and discussing with Hindu communities in transmigration areas. The event was actively supported by local PHDI leaders, further strengthening community participation. The enthusiasm among Hindu communities in Sulawesi was remarkably high, with residents warmly welcoming the delegation and engaging in discussions regarding higher education opportunities for young Hindu students. Through this initiative, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram hopes to encourage more Hindu youth from Sulawesi to pursue higher education at the institution. The socialization program also highlighted the importance of higher education in shaping the future of Hindu youth, particularly those residing in remote and transmigration areas. Many community members expressed concerns over the accessibility of higher education and welcomed efforts to make educational opportunities more inclusive for students from diverse backgrounds. REGULAR YOGA SESSIONS BY DHYAN FOUNDATION, INDIA AT IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM TO PROMOTE MIND-BODY BALANCE

INTERNATIONAL FORUM GROUP DISCUSSION (FGD) EXPLORES RESEARCH AND COMMUNITY SERVICE IN ENVIRONMENTAL-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGY, ECONOMY, AND RELIGION

Mataram, Indonesia April 10, 2025 An insightful Forum Group Discussion (FGD) was held at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, bringing together academics and researchers from Indonesia and Japan. The event, themed Opportunities and Challenges in International Research and Community Service in Environmental-Friendly Technology, Economy, and Religion, was organized by the Faculty of Dharmaduta, Brahmawidya, and Dharma Sastra. The discussion featured prominent figures, including Professor Takahi Sachiko and a research team from Nagoya University, Japan, alongside Dr. I Wayan Agus Arimbawa, Ph.D., representing Universitas Mataram (Unram). One of the main concerns raised was the environmental management of religious campuses, with delegates observing campus cleanliness and waste processing systems. During the forum, Professor Sachikos team emphasized the need for eco-friendly ceremonial facilities, promoting waste discipline among communities. The discussion reinforced the idea that religion, economy, and environmental consciousness should function synergistically to support sustainable development. By facilitating cross-institutional collaboration, the FGD encouraged innovative research and practical solutions for improving environmental sustainability in academic and community settings.
